Hey again, everyone!
So… I know I said I would update my website more regularly. And I’ve… not been doing great about that. I’m sorry, guys. It’s been an eventful few months; I’ll try to catch you up to speed.
I did win NaNoWriMo, so that was awesome! The book I wrote then is now finished and ready to be submitted at around 64k words. This was with having fallen behind by a solid three days halfway through the month, so let it be known: falling behind is not a barrier to finishing NaNo. You can do it!
(Yeah, the encouragement is late. Like I said, it’s been hectic.)
Following NaNoWriMo, I entered finals season in school. Yay! Not much writing stuff there; it was just a couple weeks of me struggling to keep my head above water. Being busy isn’t an excuse, I know, and I’m not trying to use it as one. I just want to explain what happened.
Near the end of December, we hit the really fun stuff. I got what seemed like a normal just before winter break, and then tried to push myself through holidays with my family. And then I crashed. Fatigue that stopped me from doing… well… anything, dizziness every time I stood up, some really fun nausea and vomiting. Etc etc. Long story short, after a series of ER visits and doctor’s appointments, I’ve been diagnosed with POTS (Post Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and CFS/ME (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalopathy). I’m on a new regiment of medicine, careful eating, Gatorade, and physical therapy, and we’re hoping that I’ll be back to almost-normal within a few months.
So… yeah. My life has been fun recently. Yet again, I’m sorry for being so bad about posting regularly. Thank you all so much for sticking with me through this mess. I should have a regular post up shortly, but until then, no matter what happens, just keep writing.
